Victoria University of Wellington | Seismic Strengthening Everton Hall
Client: Victoria University
Project Type: Community, Education, Advisory
Project Manager: Dan Bradley, Nicholas Rowe
Location: Wellington, New Zealand
BPM is proud to have been appointed as Project Manager and Engineer to Contract for the seismic upgrade of Everton Hall Blocks D1, D2 and D3 at Victoria University of Wellington.
Everton Hall is a student accommodation precinct operated directly by the University. Three of its residential blocks — D1, D2 and D3 — have been assessed as earthquake risk under New Zealand's building standards.
BPM will lead the full project delivery across all phases — from briefing and developed design through to building consent, contractor procurement, and construction monitoring.
Alongside the structural seismic works, the project will take advantage of the buildings being taken offline to upgrade kitchens, bathrooms and showers throughout all three blocks, improving the overall student living experience. The remaining Everton Hall buildings will continue to operate throughout construction, making careful sequencing and minimal disruption a key focus of our project management approach.
BPM is delivering this project within a live campus environment — coordinating across design, consenting, and contractor teams to meet the University's programme, budget, and safety objectives.
Complex campus. Seamless delivery.
Whether it's seismic upgrades, new builds, or staged refurbishments in live environments — BPM keeps your project on programme, on budget, and on brief.
