BPM has lodged for building consent on a new amenities and education building at the Richmond Resource Recovery Centre for Tasman District Council, the next stage of an ongoing project.
The purpose-built facility will give the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) team of operators and kerbside collection drivers the amenities they've long needed - showers, change rooms, toilets, a lunchroom and kitchen, laundry facilities, and storage - alongside a dedicated meeting and education room.
That space will double as a training and health & safety area for staff and as the starting point for the school and community groups who tour the MRF each year to see recycling in action. It's a continuation of BPM's work with Tasman District Council following the completion of the site's new office and reception building.
