Originally from the UK and an Engineer by training Dan now calls NZ home. With over 17 years experience working on commercial projects including the last 11 years within the NZ petroleum industry across Mobil, Shell, Z and BP Dan knows what it takes to get the job done and has picked up more than a few tricks along the way.
Director / GM – North
Another foreign import, this cheeky cockney adds 23 years of commercial construction experience to the BPM roster on projects including schools, post offices, universities and 13 years within the NZ Petroleum and Gas industry. Alex’s experience adds great value to the team and he leads from the front. He is also the only member of the team that could reprise the role of Dick van Dyke in Mary Poppins.
Frank van Hattum
Frank’s experience speaks for itself, he’s amassed over 33 years as General Manager and Senior Executive with BP Oil NZ. He’s a highly experienced individual and heads up BPM’s advisory board providing valuable insight on what it takes to be successful. Frank is also responsible for the rising average number of medical operations for the BPM team!
Senior Project Manager
Over his 22-year career, JP has worked on projects all over the world including Water Treatment Plants, Hydro Developments, Power Plants, Services Stations, Ferry Terminals, Tunnels and Community Centres to name a few. He’s also a cat person…………the normal level of liking cats, not the weird kind!
Senior Project Manager
With experience in managing projects that include Schools, Hospitals, Retail, Labs, Banks; Dan brings a wide range of experience to the BPM team. His skills as a PM are matched nicely with a positive attitude and friendly personality that makes Dan the kind of guy you instantly like and want to hang out with… although hanging out may include bringing a Yoga mat and doing the Scorpion Pose!
Senior Project Manager
Some say that the character Tim from the old All Blacks Mastercard adverts was based on Matty and his obsession with Richie McCawesome. But when Matty isn’t cheering on the AB’s he is applying that Kiwi ‘can‐do’ attitude to everything he does. With his civil construction background and his time served as a contractor before coming over to ‘the Dark side’ Matty provides some real depth to the BPM team.
Dan (or Herbie as he’s known by the team) is a DIY enthusiast, BPM’s in-house entrepreneur and a bit of a perfectionist. Herbie applies that same enthusiasm and creativity to everything he does in BPM and paired with his experience in delivering retail fit‐out projects he guarantees quality with a few smiles along the way.
The smorgasbord of experience that Rob brings to BPM makes him a PM with many talents. In the past Rob has been a builder, graphic designer, event manager, digital marketer and rally driver so paired with his natural passion and drive for success project management was a natural career choice.
Rob’s infectious personality also ensures a laugh or two along the way on any project.
Although early into his project management career with BPM when Mike isn’t running/riding/ snowboarding his way around NZ he show’s the potential to be a future project management superhero.
With technical experience in both mechanical and electrical systems along with his systematic approach Mike continues to punch above his weight class.
Did you ever wonder what happened to the kid from the Home Alone movies? No he isn’t a project manager but since joining the team BPM’s very own upcoming star Jake is already showing the same kind of tenacious project management skill set that kept Kevin McCallister safe from Harry and Marv back in the 90’s. Paired with his Degree in Building Science Jake is all set to take the project management industry by storm.
Mike is an easy going, laid back, Bay of Plenty native and when he joined the BPM team we did have to check whether he had moved to Auckland by normal means or shot over in Doc Brown’s DeLorean. McFly (as he’s now known) served his time as a Mechanical Engineer before joining us and that experience along with his temperament has set him up nicely to be an excellent project manager.
Accounts, Bookkeeping, Marketing, Media, Admin, Social.....BPM's very own girl from the 'naki has her work cut out for her on a daily basis being a 'Jill of All Trades'. All that pales in comparison however when having to try and wrangle a team of project managers. Somehow she manages to do it without blowing up like Mt Egmont, and keeps the business wheels turning .......although she did earn the nickname 'Taranaki Hardcore' rather quickly at BPM so take what you will from that!?!
